It is Friday and we are headed to ATK (formly Morton Thiokol), to see the Rocket Display.
From ATK we did a road trip to look at the terrain and see if we could find a hunting outfitter in the Grouse Creek area. We drove about 300 miles round trip and did not find the outfitter cause after a detour almost into Nevada we were running low on gas so turned around. When we filled up before starting our adventure we didn't even think to fill our extra gas tank that we carry with us.
Today, Saturday, we went out to the Golden Spike National Historical Site for a re-enactment of the driving of the last spike to connect the East and West railroad tracks. It was very interesting and we had a good time. We were there about 30 years ago before the road was paved and always said we would go back.
Went back to the RV park to do laundry and get ready to leave for Henry's Lake on Sunday. We met some great people parked next to us from Florida and it was amazing how much the two guys had in common. Later Friday afternoon a group pulled in from California all towing Sand Jeeps heading for St. Anthony's sand dunes in Idaho. Had no idea Idaho had Sand Dunes. Enjoyed spending time with them Saturday evening.
Tomorrow Henry's Lake is in our sights. Stay tuned!
